Arm Chairs & Deck Chairs: March 2010

Hi there! Welcome along to this first monthly podcast from Arm Chairs & Deck Chairs, the blog at www.armchairsanddeckchairs.blogspot.com. We cover stories affecting the towns of High Wycombe and Bournemouth and included in this podcast are the best of them from March 2010. It's very Bournemouth-centric in this episode but April's edition will see that evened out. Here's a list of what's covered: -'On the Buses in Bournemouth Can Be No Easy Ride'. Harassment of drivers, retching youths and a whole host of other undesirables can sometimes make bus journeys in the area less than comfortable. -'Tales from the Bournemouth Dogging Scene'. Warning: THIS IS ADULT SUBJECT MATTER. DOGGING IS NOT ENDORSED BY 'WILLIWYCOMBE'. Bournemouth's dogging scene wasn't what it was cracked up to be, at least on our encounters! -'Students Preferred Gas, Not Meow-Meow Back in '07-'08'. Gas cannisters seemed to be the drug of choice for students in Bournemouth before the meow-meow craze hit the headlines. -'How Do You Solve A Problem Like Boscombe?' Boscombe may have recently won accolades but many residents doubt whether the improvements have substance beyond the cosmetic enhancements. We'll be back later this month with the best of the blog from April 2010. We'll be discussing the benefits of an alternative night-time club scene in Bournemouth besides looking at the impact the opening of Raymond Blanc's new patisserie in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire could have on its rivals. In the meantime, Happy listening! WilliWycombe
